Native Aquatic Nursery
With the creation of our wetland plants nursery we have been able to supply bioengineering systems to control erosion, create habitats or simply incorporate and encourage biodiversity in lakes, rivers, canals and natural swimming ponds.
Acrefield’s Wetland Nursery is situated in the valley of the River Nene in the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside just south of Oundle.
We grow our own native aquatic plants under a controlled environment enabling us to offer the best quality and service in the market.
Since we opened our Wetland Nursery in 2009 our range of products and plants has grown due to increased demand. In 2012 we extended the Nursery by building three more wet beds in order to meet high quantity orders for large projects such as the Centre Parcs new site in Woburn Forest. We currently have the capacity to accommodate over 10,000m² of coir products.

Coir Rolls & Coir Pallets
Coir fibre provides a growing medium for aquatic plants. It is ideal for erosion control and vegetation establishment – it’s a totally sustainable solution.

Aquatic Plants
Plugs and pots of Aquatic plants grown in our Wetland Nursery can be supplied separately to coir products.
