Description
Supply and installation of pre-established coir rolls and coir pallets to the newly formed banks of the 200 berth marina.
The coir rolls and coir pallets contained a mixture of native riparian plant species that were endemic to the adjoining canal. These plants both provided erosion control to the vulnerable newly cut banks as well as a pleasing aesthetic view.
Products involved
- 650 lin. m of pre-established coir rolls
- 250 m² of pre-established coir pallets.
Outcome
Well established marina banks.
Benefits
Long term protection from erosion and creation of beneficial habitat.
